Collections for the  StarfishNadia project will begin each October –  Please check on this  blog for an updated list of items needed.  Donations  to assist with shipping costs are also needed.

List of items needed to send: goal to send 100 of each

Washcloths,  toothbrush,  bar soap – ivory, Comb/brush,  hair accessories,  flip flops/shower sandals, Hand towels, toothpaste,  hotel size shampoo/soap, Travel sewing kits,  chap stick,  hand sanitizer, Pen/pencils,  child size scissors,  beads/craft items, Plastic jewelry,  small bubbles,  stickers (kids), Underwear(age 5-18),  socks,  hand size toys/ball, Plastic shoe boxes, deodorant,  small note pads, Coloring books, crayons, fingernail clippers, small flashlight,  aspirin (81 mg.),  cough drops, Ziplock bags, Reusable grocery/shopping bags.

Medical masks  –  first aid supplies  –   medical latex gloves (all sizes)

Sunbury United Methodist Church August 2010 Mission Focus

2010 Collections will being in October

This year’s project teamed up with the Service Learning group from Genoa Middle School – students collected items for a week asking each student to bring in at least one items to be sent to the orphanage in the Ukraine.  Additionally, sports equipment was also collected to send to a Physical Education program.  Students donated $1.00 to wear their favorite hat to school with funds being used to assist with shipping costs – and the Genoa PTSA also contributed.  The Westerville South IB program donated first aid kits that were packed up along with items collected from my friends and church family on January 28th – total weight for the items being sent reached 758 pounds!  THANKS for all the support to the 2010 project.

Items packed up Jan. 29th ’09 – shipping Feb. 2nd

Thanks to all who have donated supplies or funds to this years project – the boxes were packed Jan. 29th, 2009 and will begin their journey on February 2nd from Westerville South High School to arrive in time for Easter.  Please contact me if you still have donations for shipping!

THANKS to Westerville South HS Student Athletic Training Aids and staff members – we packed 570 pounds!
